Mitt Romney and the Seven Six Dwarves, from Gothamist

No, this isn't my recap. As I said, I couldn't bring myself to watch it. But from the reaction it has garnered (pretty much: meh), and the audience it got (less than 1% of Americans?), it would seem that I didn't miss much. Right now, they all agree that they really, really don't like President Obama. He's a failure, a no-goodnik, the worst president ever. Times ten. Times a MILLION! And they wouldn't go after each other, apparently. That won't last though.

Eventually, the mud will start to fly. About the time they run out of one-upped insults for the Prez (maybe global warming is real, but it's Obama's fault 'cause he didn't do anything about it?). For now though, they're just a big bunch of hopped-up, Democrat-hatin', tax-cut lovin', f**k the poor, trickle down, Grover Norquist humpers.

Monday’s Republican presidential debate in New Hampshire — full of historical error, economic obfuscation, avoidance of hard truths and even outright bigotry — was a feast for connoisseurs of political dysfunction. Desperate to avoid being outflanked on the right, the seven candidates tried so hard to outdo each other in finding fault with President Obama that they seemed to forget that they are competing for the same party nomination.
