Okay, so there's yet one more Republican in the pile of candidates for 2012, and he's another governor of Texas. Great. He brings good looks to the ticket, but anything else? He's not very popular in his own state (a trend amongst this bunch across the board), his record of achievement is over-inflated and exaggerated. He's kind of a doofus (deja vu), and he hangs around with some deeply twisted tea-vangelicals.
Perry is starting out with a real leg up, which goes to show you how unhappy many Republicans are with the rest of the field. It will be interesting to see how he handles himself on the campaign trail. He doesn't seem very bright, but we all know that doesn't mean he can't win.
